      Review of Lapis Luna Wines

Even though this wine shop has only been around since 1999, you will be amazed at the wide selection of different wines that you are able to choose from. Lapis Luna is a translation of “stone’ and “moon” which allows for a unique name that is able to stand the test of time. For more than 20 years, the owners of this winery have had a chance to make some of the best wines in the world, all from our backyard in California.

Even if you don’t live in California, there is a way to reach some of this wine to have for a special occasion. Whether you are looking for something that is bubbly and good or some classic red wine, you can enjoy this woman-owned business and purchase Lapis Luna the next time you are ready to celebrate.

Finding the right wine can take some time. Not all of them will provide the flavoring that you are looking for. But from Lapis Luna, you will be able to enjoy sone fresh and vibrant fruity tastes in each sip, giving you something to enjoy any night of the week. Whether you are looking for a nice wine to sip when the day has been long and hard or you need something to celebrate with, Lapis Luna is the best place to shop first.

      Meeting the Wine Maker

While many people will take a sip of wine and just decide whether they like it or not, it can be fun to learn a bit of the history that comes with the owner of the winery too. For Lapis Luna, this is Nicole Walsh. Walsh has held almost every position within the wine production industry, helping her to learn how wine is made, how to market it, and even how to manage a vineyard to get the best wines.

Her major from Michigan State University was done in Horticulture and Viticulture back at a time when Michigan had a very small undergraduate community for this of just two students. She took this in stride and find that it allowed her to have more of a hands-on opportunity to be around graduate professors. While at school, she also spent some time learning in Costa Rica, where she learned more about the Spanish language and became committed to agriculture that is sustainable.

From there, Walsh decided to make her own way as a female in an industry that was dominated by men. In 1999, she decided to start her own winery in California and has found that it has taken off from there. She has a passion for the wine making process and coming up with sustainable ways to create the drinks that her customers enjoy. And you will be able to notice this with each wine that you taste.
